The philosophy behind FerretWare is very simple—ferrets come first, 24 hours a day. They come before people, our bills, and sometimes our mortgage! Yes, even before our wonderful customers. Our commitment to the domestic ferret (Mustela putorius furo) began in 1979 when Hildy Langewis, founder of FerretWare, acquired her first ferret, Digger, while living in Florida. Forced to leave Digger behind when she moved back to California, Hildy never forgot Digger’s charm and affection. Years later, quite by accident, Hildy learned of the California Domestic Ferret Association (CDFA) and a partnership was formed. |
